It is common knowledge whenever an S.O.S. message (Save Our Souls) is sent , someone or other invariably comes to the rescue. But it is very uncommon to see someone playing the saviour even when there is neither an S.O.S nor a hint of impending danger. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

On 29th June 2006, I left home at about 11.30 am to go to pay my daughter’s school fees at a Bank in Dindoshi (Goregaon). It is a habit of every member of my family to utter ‘Jai Parijnan’ before leaving home. Write Comment (1 Comments) |

It was 1st of May , Maharashtra Day , when the most horrible and unforgettable experience of mine occured. My 3 year old son Ravi , as usual , was playing in the compound of our building. When he did not return home by 7.00 p.m. , which was the deadline, I was a bit worried. I started enquiring with neighbours where Ravi was likely to be playing with his school-mates and friends. On drawing a blank , I got alarmed and started looking for him on the streets of Mulund in a mad frenzy. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

I went on an official tour of Kota (Rajasthan) on 18.9.2003. I was to meet the doctors at Rajasthan Atomic Power Station (RAPS). This was my second visit and I was apprehensive about the outcome. I always carry the Karla teerth on all my tours. Having the bottle of Karla teerth in my bag gave me much needed boost for a positive approach. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

Here in the U.S. , even if one has a large sedan , because of the strict regulation that small children have to be given a separate “child seat” and not carried on the lap , as we do in India , the capacity is restricted to four. With the arrival of my parents for a long holiday, in order to enhance the seating capacity of my car , I thought of going in for a big 8-seater van. A Honda “Odyssey” appeared to be a good buy and I booked one. Write Comment (0 Comments) |

On 5th & 6th May, members of Parijnan Parivar performed Shri Sudarshan Hom and Shri Mrityunjaya Hom to invoke the blessings of our Swamiji and for the prosperity of His ashram. As I sat in the "Yajna Shaala" with my wife, listening to the mantras being chanted in unison by the purohits and watching the raging flames from the "Yajna Kunda" , the following thoughts came to my mind... COBRA, THE SECURITY GUARD Swamiji once went to a dilapidated temple on the hill a few miles away from Shirali if He could get a good idol. Having seen the idol in deformed condition, He gave up the idea and returned to Shirali. But he had left behind his goggles.Write Comment (0 Comments) |

My daughter, Rajashree, runs a Lifestyle store in Khar where home linen and other accessories are being offered for sale. I am narrating an event which happened about 3 years ago. She had hired an old Bangladeshi lady to do sweeping and swabbing of the shop in the mornings. This lady was doing this chore in all the adjacent shops too. All the shop owners used to call her “khala” , she being a muslim. Write Comment (0 Comments) |
